Divine Flowers guarantee that web based orders will reflect the quality and artistic design the Divine reputation is known for.


Quality & Flower Maintenance
At Divine Flowers we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services. It is important to remember that flowers are a perishable, natural product that will react to their immediate indoor environment and external weather conditions.

With more than 20 years' experience, Divine Flowers ensures only the freshest and highest quality flowers are hand selected and bought each day. Divine Flowers only sell premium grade flowers, which are the highest quality product available.

The most crucial period for flowers is in the first 24 hours, affecting the longevity of your flowers as they absorb half the water they require to survive during this time. This is why we send most of our designs out in water.

Care instructions are included with every Divine Flowers design. To increase the life span and enjoyment of your flowers, these instructions must be followed and include:

- Recut all stems approximately 2-3cm at an angle, this assists greatly in water absorbtion as the flower stems are not sitting flat on the bottom of the vase
- Cut stems using sharp scissors or secateurs to ensure a clean cut, you do not want to squash the stems, as this reduces water absorbtion
- Flowers must be positioned in a cool place away from draughts
- Flowers must be kept away from heaters, televisions and microwaves
- Flowers must be kept away from fruit as it releases a gas called ethylene, which accelerates the ageing process of flowers
- Using a few drops of bleach or flower food preservative in the vase will assist in reducing bacteria from growing, which reduces your flowers life span and makes the water smell

Unfortunately, once we dispatch our flowers a number of changes in condition may result in their longevity being reduced. Air conditioning, extreme heat or changes in climate may have an adverse effect on the flowers. For this reason, and considering all the possible variables, it is difficult for Divine Flowers to guarantee the flower lifespan in every case. We are aware there are cases when mother nature may produce blooms that don't exactly have the staying power we expect. In these rare instances, Divine must be contacted within 48 hours of delivery to assess the situation.

Regretfully, we cannot arrange a resend of fresh flowers to you if the original flowers are disposed of, thereby making them unavailable for our florists to assess the cause of the problem.

1. All prices are shown in Australian dollars.
2. Prices include all local taxes, where applicable.
3. There may be instances where flower substitutions may be necessary. Customers can be assured that in these instances the arrangement delivered will closely resemble the one featured.
4. Delivery details must be accurate; any changes may incur additional fees. All additional fees will be notified to the customer prior to delivery. Please refer to the Frequently asked questions for further details.
5. Regretfully, we cannot arrange a resend of fresh flowers to you if the original flowers are disposed of, thereby making them unavailable for our florists to assess the cause of the problem.

Ordering

What is the deadline for same day delivery?
Orders for delivery within the greater metropolitan area must be received by 10am to ensure same day delivery. Orders placed after 10am requesting same day delivery may either incur an additional fee or be dispatched the following day. Orders for delivery to outer metropolitan areas will need to be placed by 3pm the day prior to dispatch in order to coordinate couriers. (See 'where we deliver to' for more information). Customers will be notified of any additional fee or change of dispatch date prior to delivery. We ensure that all deliveries reach business addresses (provided accurate company names and contact numbers have been provided) by 5pm. Orders to residential addresses will be delivered up until 7pm. Certain deliveries may incur additional fees. See Are there additional charges? for more information.

How do I know if you received my order?
Once your online order has been placed you will receive a confirmation receipt via email.

Will my order look exactly the same as the arrangement pictured?
In the majority of cases the floral design pictured will be the one delivered. However, there may be instances where the blooms featured may not be available or may not have met our First Grade standard and therefore, substitution is necessary to guarantee the highest quality Divine floral design. Vases and containers may be substituted if a product is unavailable. Customers can be assured the overall look and feel of the design will closely resemble the one featured.

Delivery details

Where do you deliver?
To ensure Divine's high standard of quality, our web based service delivers to the greater southeast Queensland area. This includes the Brisbane area and surrounds, and out west to Ipswich. If you would like to place an order elsewhere (i.e Gold Coast , Sunshine Coast, interstate or overseas), please phone Divine directly on 07 3856 2000.

Do you deliver on the weekend or public holidays?
Divine delivers on Saturdays, provided the order is placed by 9am on the Saturday. Additional charges may apply for orders placed after 9am. We do not deliver on Sunday or public holidays.

What happens if no one is home when my order is delivered?
Depending on the particular circumstances, one of the following may occur.

The recipient will be called to obtain instructions as to where the order may be left.
or
The arrangement may be left at the recipient's front or back door if:
- requested to do so by the sender (see Special instructions in check out) or
- our courier deems it safe to do so.

Alternatively, if there is nowhere safe or protected to leave the order or the weather conditions are unfavourable then a calling card will be left on the recipient's door or in their letterbox requesting they phone Divine and arrange a convenient time for re-delivery. Charges will be incurred for re-delivery. You will be notified of any additional charges. Customers in the Brisbane metropolitan area may wish to collect the arrangement from our Newmarket store at no additional charge.

Can I change the delivery details?
If your order has not been dispatched it may be possible to change the details, however an additional fee may apply. Please phone Divine Flowers immediately on 07 3856 2000 if you need to change the delivery details.

Oops - what happens if I supplied the wrong address?
Divine will do its best to redirect the arrangement to the correct address, however, an additional fee may apply and same day delivery may not be possible. Please phone Divine Flowers immediately on 07 3856 2000 if you need to change the delivery details. See Tips for ensuring a successful delivery.

Can I request a specific delivery time?
You may, but please note your request in Special instructions at the check out. Additional fees will apply. You will be phoned by one of our professional team to confirm this service. Divine will do its best to have your arrangement delivered at the requested time.

Payment details

What methods of payment are acceptable?
For online orders we accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Bankcard. EFTPOS and cash payments are accepted for in-store purchases only.

What if my credit card is declined?
We will phone you if your credit card is declined to arrange alternative payment. Flowers will not be dispatched until payment has been made.

Are there any additional charges
Additional charges may be incurred if:
- the delivery is to an outer Brisbane suburb
- no one is home and a re-delivery is necessary
- a specific delivery time is requested
- an incorrect address has been supplied
- delivery details have been changed
- there is an order cancellation - an administration fee of $10 applies
- the delivery is to ships, airports, funeral homes, crematoria and cemeteries
- orders for same day delivery are placed after 10am

Charges may range from $10-$20 depending on the circumstances. You will always be phoned should any charges be incurred.

How can I be sure my details are secure when ordering online?
Divine Flowers provides a secure environment for the transfer of your confidential data from your browser to our financial institution using the latest encryption technology from SecurePay.

What is the currency of the prices shown?

Tips for ensuring a successful delivery
Please ensure:
- you have provided all contact phone numbers for yourself and the recipient in case of any problems.
- you have ordered early to ensure the time and date of delivery can be met.
- all fields are filled in correctly and you have double-checked both your credit card number and expiry date
- you have provided the correct delivery address
